These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website, the purchase of goods from our shop, and the commission of custom-made jewellery. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general information only. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of product details, pricing, and information; however, we do not guarantee that descriptions or content are error-free, current, or complete.

We are not affiliated with or responsible for any third-party sites linked on this website. You access external sites at your own risk.

2. Product Information

All jewellery is handcrafted using natural and reclaimed materials. Each piece is unique, and variations in grain, colour, or texture are inherent to the materials used. Product images are for reference only and may not exactly reflect the item delivered due to screen differences or natural variation.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.

Payment is required before production (custom orders) or before shipment (pre-made items).

Accepted payment methods include direct bank transfer and secure online payment (payment link provided in invoice).

Invoices are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

Quotes may change due to material fluctuations or requested revisions.

5. Pre-Made Items

Items available in our online shop may be returned under specific conditions. For eligibility and exclusions (such as earrings and sale items), please refer to our Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

6. Delivery and Shipping

Domestic and select international shipping is available.

All parcels are shipped with tracking via Australia Post.

We are not liable for delays, damage, or loss once an item has been lodged with the carrier.

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated (e.g. approved warranty returns).

7. Refunds and Returns

Custom and commissioned orders are non-refundable and cannot be returned or resized once confirmed.

Pre-made items can be returned within 7 days of delivery, subject to inspection and compliance with our return conditions.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after receipt of the returned item.

8. Care and Maintenance

Each order includes a care guide. It is the customer’s responsibility to follow care instructions. Timber jewellery is sensitive to water, chemicals, and extreme environments. Improper care may void your warranty. Full guidelines are available in our Care & Maintenance Guide.

9. Repairs and Warranty

Custom pieces come with a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, covering faults in materials or craftsmanship under normal use.

Warranty does not cover:

  • General wear and tear

  • Misuse, impact, or water damage

  • Third-party alterations or repairs

  • Loss or theft

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, product images, and written content remain the intellectual property of Second Life Gems. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute our content without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from the use of this website or from products once they have been received and confirmed in good condition. Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the item where applicable under consumer law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our website and services implies acceptance of any updated Terms.
